Last weekened, Amy Trodd bested the inaugural English Deepstack Poker Championship at the G Casino in Luton.

Trodd held the chip lead on Day 1 and although she fell from the top spot as the field was carved down to 11 players on Day 2, she managed to come from behind to hammer Italian Pino Valentino heads-up for the title and collect the £25,000 first-place prize.You do have to do something in order to get a seat at one of these VIP Titan Poker freeroll tournaments.

At the moment, Trodd works and plays poker for Ladbrokes, and with only a few small UK cashes on her resume before this weekend’s win.

Next leg of the tour is the Austrian Deepstack Poker Championship in Vienna which attracted 505 players last year.
